This book marks the return of ethical questions to the center of philosophical debate, a current trend in the emerging Mozambican school of philosophy. This time, it is the author Hoguane who brings us closer to the theme of 'happiness.' This follows Mário Alberto Viegas, whom I referred to as the 'last ethicist,' examining the question of 'dignity' from the perspective of human rights. The suffering caused by successive armed conflicts and the shame of violence, exacerbated by the enormous gap between the - hypothetically speaking - richest and the poorest Mozambicans, provide the backdrop against which questions about the morality of coexistence and the search for its justification gain significance. In the quest to restore lost humanity in the coexistence of Mozambicans lies the utopia of good (co-)living, where Mozambican philosophy finds its calling. This good life encompasses the dimensions of national reconciliation, freedom, and happiness. This book starts from this last dimension. José P. Castiano.
