The LBOAVO contains a variety of important building regulations. It is the necessary complement to the state building code, as it specifies the principles and protective objectives mandated by law through individual requirements related to construction and fire safety. In addition to the extensive amendment of the state building code in July 2019, the implementation regulation was also changed at the end of 2020. The 6th edition represents a revision of the previous commentary. This work explains all individual provisions of the implementation regulation while maintaining the proven structure of previous editions and clarifies the connections and interplay between the regulations from the state building code and the implementation regulation of Baden-Württemberg.
