The book "Cisse: Knowledge and Practices Regarding HIV" offers a comprehensive analysis of the knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to HIV among healthcare personnel in the city of Gao. It aims to assess the knowledge base of medical staff, describe their practices in dealing with HIV, and identify training needs. The study is based on a prospective cross-sectional survey that included 104 healthcare professionals, with a significant proportion of female staff (54.8%) and the age group of 30 to 39 years being predominant. The results show that 62.1% of respondents had knowledge of antiretroviral therapies (ART), and 45.2% recognized the importance of biological monitoring tools, such as the CD4 test. The authors recommend the implementation of continuous training measures to expand knowledge and minimize behavioral deviations in dealing with HIV.
