Lea Käßmann tells the story of the little raccoon who prepares for Christmas very differently from all the other animals. The squirrel is all excited. "Already dug up nuts and gathered red berries ... have you got everything ready?" "Nope," says the little raccoon, "I'm preparing myself." "You're preparing yourself? What's that supposed to mean?" "I'm just waiting for Christmas," says the raccoon. The little raccoon doesn't feel like frantically rushing around like all the other animals to get everything ready in time for the big Christmas. Instead, he looks for a spot at the edge of the forest where he can wait for Christmas in peace. Suddenly, a shooting star flies by. This makes him think of the star that, even back then, alerted everyone to the birth of Jesus. He has to tell the other animals about this and why we really celebrate Christmas ....
