Product details
The enormous influx of patients forces emergency departments to optimize the initial assessment of emergency patients. Triage systems identify acutely life-threatening conditions based on symptoms or parameters and establish their treatment priority. In German-speaking countries, the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) and the Manchester Triage System (MTS) are primarily used due to authorized translated versions. The aim of the literature review was to present the psychometric quality criteria of the ESI and MTS for adult patients in the emergency department.
