This book covers the topic of inclusive education within Germany in correlation with the opportunities and risks that arise. Children and adolescents with disabilities or special educational needs are identified as the target group for the presented topic. The book addresses, among other things, a comprehensive definition of inclusion and its associated facets, based on current literature. It then explores inclusive education from a theoretical perspective. This is followed by an examination of current practices. The conclusion brings together the key elements and explicitly connects them to social work. Finally, the book offers a future perspective designed by the author for its readers. A critical engagement with the respective content allows interested individuals to gain a balanced understanding of inclusive education, including its advantages and disadvantages.
