In addition to numerous other episodes, he particularly highlights the tragically failed Paternkofel operation of the Sexten mountain guide Sepp Innerkofler, who, along with friends, tirelessly ascended peak after peak as a 'flying patrol' and sought to enter the enemy's line of sight to give the impression that all these mountains were occupied and secured by Austrian forces.
