This final volume of Notker's writings not only includes the traditional titles: 'De partibus logicae', 'De syllogismis', 'De definitione', 'De arte rhetoricae', 'Computus', 'De musica', and Notker's letter to Bishop Hugo of Sion, but also three additional texts written in Latin that are now officially added to the Notkerian canon: the so-called St. Gallen Treatise ('Incipit quomodo septem circumstantiae rerum in legendo ordinandae sint'), 'Distributio omnium specierum nominis inter cathegorias Aristotelis', and 'De dialectica'. This significantly broadens the spectrum of Notker's works, making this volume of interest to a much larger circle of researchers. All texts will be newly edited based on the manuscripts and presented in as diplomatic prints as possible, some also in parallel print. Several previously unused manuscripts of complete texts or fragments have been incorporated, contributing to the titles. The introduction contains general information as well as introductions to the individual texts. A companion volume, which will include commentary on these works (mostly Latin sources and parallels) - 'Notker Latinus on the minor writings' - is being prepared by the editors and is expected to follow in the near future.
