Product details
The Art of Being Right is a manuscript created around 1830 by Arthur Schopenhauer, in which he describes a conversational strategy known as eristic or eristic dialectic. This strategy aims to make one appear to be in the right during a dispute by using both permissible and impermissible means (Latin: per fas et nefas). To this end, he provides 38 rhetorical stratagems that are not intended for the pursuit of truth, but rather for achieving success in an argument through specific argumentative forms.
