Product details
The breakthrough of Web 2.0 since 2005 has had a significant impact on the way music is consumed. With flat-rate subscriptions, increasingly high-speed internet access, and a flood of Web 2.0 music services, there is an oversupply of music and information about music. Listeners often no longer engage deeply with the music and adopt a passive mode of reception. The central question of this work is whether it is possible, using the means that have led to the current situation, to develop an application that reactivates music reception and motivates a more intense engagement with what is heard. This should be achieved by facilitating a simple, straightforward, and thus effective discussion about music.
