Anna Juliane Heinrich explores the question of why urban planners and educators are involved in the implementation of socio-spatial educational landscapes. She empirically examines the justifications and significance attributed to the shaping actors at the Rütli Campus in Berlin-Neukölln. As a result, she reconstructs strategic approaches to socio-spatial educational landscapes and the guiding principles of the participants, highlighting the added value of this specific type of educational landscape. The meanings attributed by the designers are condensed into foundational motives of socio-spatial educational landscapes, and the Rütli Campus is discussed as a project balancing economic exploitation logic and social justice.
