Product details
In 2006/2007, Ken Architekten, together with the landscape architect Klaus Mü ller, realised three single-family houses: in Müiken, Wettingen and Ennetmoos. All three buildings have a similar size, but are situated in different landscapes. The relationship to the respective surroundings led to different strategies of materialisation and spatial configuration, but also to heterogeneous concepts with regard to the positioning of the volumes in their exteriors. In one respect, however, the three houses are similar: They represent reactions to an immediate neighbourhood characterised by urban sprawl and tastelessness. An essay by Hubertus Adam, which takes up these topics, accompanies the documentation of the three single-family houses.
