The application of lean methods and tools has been particularly successful in recent decades in both large international companies and major domestic firms. Furthermore, lean manufacturing has been viewed in recent years as a potential solution to the crisis facing domestic companies. Indeed, the fundamental concepts of lean production, such as customer orientation, value creation, and thus sudden waste reduction, among many others, make the implementation of this system quite relevant.
