This introductory textbook provides a systematic overview of the current income tax law. Special emphasis is placed on income from business operations and a tax impact analysis of the most common legal forms. Michael Wehrheim focuses not only on individual legal provisions but also examines the income tax in terms of its overall structure and its position within the German tax system. The 3rd edition takes into account the changes from the corporate tax reform of 2008, the Annual Tax Act of 2008, and the government draft of the Annual Tax Act of 2009.
