Abstract: This paper deals with the application possibilities of MS Project in large companies. How is the implementation carried out? What advantages does this program offer compared to conventional project planning tools? What are the limitations of a project portfolio tool? All these questions are answered and practically explained in the paper.

The present project focuses on the evaluation of software designed to optimize project, portfolio, and resource management. The software to be evaluated is MS Project from the manufacturer Microsoft in version 2016. MS Project offers a versatile range of tools for creating, managing, and executing projects.

During the evaluation, the focus is primarily on the tools provided for addressing faulty planning and issues related to resources and deadlines. In particular, the study will examine the benefits and limitations of this software at the server level and how it can contribute to the centralization of project activities. Special attention will be given to the software's suitability for multi-project management to illustrate how it functions as a central portfolio and coordination tool.

In parallel to the tool-based solutions and the capabilities at the server level, the strengths and weaknesses of user-friendliness and compatibility with new and existing software structures will also be highlighted.
