About the Author:
Nana Nauwald, born in 1947, is a freelance artist and lecturer on rituals of perception. She has been leading shamanism seminars for nearly 20 years and teaches "Ritual Body Postures and Ecstatic Trance" according to Dr. Felicitas Goodman. She has extensive experience and research in shamanic worlds in North and South America, Africa, and Asia. She is the author of several books on the subject of shamanism. Dr. Felicitas D. Goodman (1914-2005) was an anthropologist, linguist, and professor at the University of Columbus, Ohio. She founded the Cuyamungue Institute near Santa Fe, New Mexico, for the teaching and research of ritual body postures and ecstatic trance. In Europe, this work is continued by the Felicitas Goodman Institute.
