Society is urged to understand energy efficiency and energy management as attractive keywords in both German and international energy policy. At the same time, these keywords also represent one of the central challenges of that energy policy. This process of understanding can only mean a more efficient and forward-looking approach to energy. Against this backdrop, the industry, as a major consumer of final energy, is particularly called upon to explore new savings opportunities.
