The Flex and Flora Learning Package German 1 includes letter notebooks 1, 2, and 3, the language researcher notebook, and two supplements (writing table and letter overview).

The three letter notebooks provide an open reading and writing curriculum for beginner instruction. All children can work at their individual learning pace.

In the three progressively structured letter notebooks, extensive practice material is offered for all sounds. There are tasks at three different levels. All tasks are self-explanatory and can be worked on individually. A slow progression, regular syllable exercises, and comprehensive reading material support literacy acquisition.

Stop signs at the end of some units guide the children independently to their diagnostic notebook.
