Children learning to read and write with Flex and Flora 1 can work on additional reading tasks in this booklet alongside their activities in the letter workbooks. The reading and coloring booklet follows the letter progression of the letter workbooks. It contains tasks from the requirement areas 1 and 2 of the educational standards, allowing children to optimally train and reinforce their reading skills. As additional support for learning to read, the syllables are colored in black and gray. In line with Letter Workbook 1, the reading and coloring booklet starts with tracing and coloring exercises to recognize the letter and initially offers reading tasks at the syllable and word level. Tasks at the word and sentence level – for coloring, continuing to draw, and free drawing – become the focus starting from Letter Workbook 2. On the pages for Letter Workbook 3, children also read short texts. Here, they not only work on reading and coloring tasks related to the text but also partially enhance it with their own ideas. The booklet concludes with a quiz that playfully guides the children through everything they have learned in the entire booklet.
