Who doesn't know the phrase: "Look, Daddy," with which children proudly and eagerly show off their first attempts? If Daddy responds not just with a half-hearted "Oh, great," but also invents a story, it can happen that the little ones want to hear more and more stories – and draw and draw and draw.

The highly popular songwriter Gerhard Schöne, known in both East and West, initially responded to some drawings by his five-year-old son Jona with little stories, which he read to his children as a bedtime greeting, in order to help maintain their sleep schedule. This was so well received that everyone started drawing like crazy. This inspired the father to create new bedtime stories.

For the first children's book of this beloved children's songwriter, 19 stories and 18 drawings were selected – featuring a quirky seahorse in Dresden, the adventures of the artist Picobello Kautschuk, mobile post offices, and a real special thing. These are turbulent tales of heroes who will soon follow in the footsteps of his children's song heroes like Jule, the giant Glombatsch, or the mischievous baby Kitty Schmidt.
