The book "Improving 10th Graders' English Communicative Competence Through TBL" documents the results of an action research project focused on enhancing students' communicative competence in English through a task-based learning approach. The study was conducted at a coeducational public school in Medellín, Colombia, with thirty-four tenth graders. As part of the project, various tasks were developed, and four thematic units were defined that align with the curriculum as well as the interests and needs of the students. The results show significant improvements in the students' communicative competence. Furthermore, it demonstrates that the implementation of the task-based approach was influenced by factors related to both the role of the teachers and the performance of the students.
