The series of sources and research on Brandenburg and Prussian history (QUF) primarily includes research works, but also source editions related to the history of the Electorate of Brandenburg as well as the Duchy and later Kingdom of Prussia. All sub-disciplines of historical sciences are taken into account: the QUF focuses on the study of political history as well as economic and social history, constitutional and legal history, history of science and education, church and confessional history, and not least, the military history of Brandenburg and Prussia. The series transcends both chronological periods and the internal boundaries of the mentioned sub-disciplines. Another focus is on the interconnection of Brandenburg-Prussian history with that of the Holy Roman Empire and all neighboring states in Europe.
