A demanding special task from their grandmother forces Kasperl and Seppl to make their way to the recycling center with all sorts of junk. Along the way, they encounter Brigitte Berger, the city's welfare recipient. Her apartment beneath the city museum is at risk because the mayor wants to demolish the museum. Behind this is the wicked witch Annegehr, who is planning a dreadful new building. Kasperl and Seppl have no idea that they already hold the key to solving Mrs. Berger's problem.
