The subject of this work is error management in manufacturing companies. The utilization of error knowledge and the realization of learning processes from mistakes are crucial for strengthening competitiveness. The result of the work presents an approach for implementing an error classification and associated analyses for production startup. This approach consists of three steps, which are implemented in modules: the classification module, the analysis module, and the adaptation module. The design model answers the question of how errors can be classified and analyzed. It can be applied as a procedure in manufacturing companies.
