This publication is preceded by a copyright infringement lasting over ten years. Under false authorship attribution and without the knowledge of the text's author, the work titled "Communication Models as a Problem-Solving Approach to the Discrepancy Between Work Goals and the Reality of Care in Inpatient Elderly Care," created in 2006, was published and exploited alongside four other titles by the same author. To address these unlawful uses, the corresponding publisher was promptly informed of the situation upon discovery, and a claim for cessation and removal was asserted against them. Now, twelve years after its creation, the text printed here is being published lawfully for the first time for the public. Currently, the framework conditions of inpatient elderly care in Germany are somewhat different from those underlying this edition. Nevertheless, the communication-specific contexts presented remain valid in the everyday work of individuals in inpatient care facilities. The book enables a deeper understanding of complex work situations in the field of inpatient elderly care and illustrates the effectiveness of communication-driven social interactions. This knowledge can assist professional caregivers in effectively addressing existing discrepancies between established goals and realities in everyday caregiving practice. This can not only lead to greater satisfaction but, above all, protect health.
