The book "Laki Verbal Inflection" offers a comprehensive analysis of the inflectional morphology in the verbal paradigms of the Laki language, which belongs to the Northwestern Iranian language family. It examines how human languages deviate from canonical patterns and what significance these deviations hold for the description of world languages. The author, Sahar Taghipour, illuminates the complex mechanisms underlying the personal and numerical system of the Laki language and demonstrates how a multifunctional system of clitics and suffixes contributes to the representation of content. This work provides valuable insights into the morphotactic patterns of the Laki language and contributes to general linguistics by analyzing non-canonical representations of form and content.
