For joining plastic-metal hybrid components, the two-stage process chain of laser-based joining represents a promising approach. By combining laser microstructuring of the metal surface and a thermal joining process, the dissimilar materials can be joined stably and permanently. Within the scope of the dissertation, a novel structuring approach was developed and the factors influencing the joining properties were investigated.
