Back in Hamburg, he studies law and works as a lawyer for seven years. From 1904 onwards, numerous novels are published in quick succession, many of which are adapted into films. He increasingly writes screenplays and becomes a regular author for the Munich "Moeve-Film" and "Emelka" (like MLK - Münchner Lichtspielkunst, today's Bavaria Film). When the National Socialists come to power, the Jewish-born Alfred Schirokauer emigrates to Vienna, where he dies on October 27, 1934.
