The book "The State of WASH in the City of Goma" provides a comprehensive analysis of the water, hygiene, and sanitation situation in the Kahembe neighborhood of Goma. The study investigates the hypothesis that access to clean water, basic hygiene, and adequate sanitation facilities in this area is hindered by several factors. These include the low income levels of households, insufficient knowledge among the population regarding hygiene and sanitation practices, and the lack of necessary infrastructure for water treatment. The study aims to assess the current state of WASH conditions and to examine the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of residents concerning water, hygiene, and sanitation services. The findings of this research are of great significance for the development of targeted measures to improve living conditions in Goma.
