Antje Bohnstedt was born in 1975 in Karlsruhe. After training as a graphic designer, she initially worked in an advertising agency. She now lives as a freelance illustrator with her family in an old farmhouse in Baden-Württemberg.

The ability to listen and understand what has been heard plays an important role in everyday life, and the success of learning in preschool and school is largely related to it. In the general flood of acoustic stimuli, it is essential to practice with children to discern and comprehend what is important. The tasks "Listening and Understanding" primarily promote listening comprehension, but they also improve attention, concentration, and memory. The core of the 16 learning units is a soundtrack on the accompanying CD - a story, a poem, an informational text, or a small audio play. For each soundtrack, children are given tasks on two worksheets that assess whether the content has been understood correctly. The two worksheets for each learning unit have different levels of difficulty and serve to differentiate instruction. The texts heard for each soundtrack are also provided in written form in the folder for reading along. Additionally, there are teaching notes with solutions and suggestions for further tasks. The majority of the tasks can be solved without reading skills. However, the second, more challenging worksheet for each learning unit also includes very simple texts for children who can already read. The solutions can be checked very quickly, some even with self-assessment.
