The little mouse Lou has moved to a new neighborhood with her parents and siblings and wants to meet all the neighbors right away. Lou goes from apartment to apartment to invite the whole neighborhood to a welcome party. Along the way, the little mouse encounters eleven different families and learns about their lives.
