Marcus Pfister was born in Bern in 1960. In his picture book "The Rainbow Fish," he created one of the most successful picture book characters in the world in 1992. His books have received multiple awards and have been translated into more than 50 languages. He lives with his family in Bern. In his studio, which offers a magnificent view of the Swiss capital, he continually creates new characters and stories.
