The African continent is witnessing the effects of globalization on almost all areas of human activity. In Nigerian communities, Western media have become part of the popular culture of youth in rural societies. To mobilize them, it is necessary to manipulate this recognized technological revolution. This work explores the synergies of folk and modern media with the theory that a media mix strategy seems more appropriate for a broader and demographically diverse audience. Community drama is used as applied theater, drawing from the art forms of the people. It is noted that theater survives and progresses better when it adapts to the constant changes in the environment with both aggressiveness and humility. Finally, the work argues that theater can become more industrious through the media mix strategy by exploring ways and opportunities to discover new paths while engaging every member of society.
