Seventy years after their founding, the United Nations is making a statement for sustainable development in economic, social, and ecological terms with the Post-2015 Agenda. Germany, as the third-largest mandatory contributor to the United Nations, is called upon to take more responsibility in voluntary contributions to the numerous UN funds and programs. This involves an appropriate financial participation in the United Nations for peace consolidation, the protection of human rights, humanitarian measures, and the fight against AIDS, as well as for UN activities in the areas of development, environment, population, refugees, children, and nutrition, where Germany is by no means the third-largest contributor. This needs to change!.
