Michael Buselmeier was born in Berlin in 1938 and grew up in Heidelberg, where he still lives today as a writer, publicist, editor, and literary city guide. He has published numerous works, most recently "Dante deutsch. Gedichte" (2012) and "Ende des Vogelgesangs - Eine Kindheit" (2015). In 2010, Buselmeier received the Ben Witter Prize from the ZEIT Foundation, and in 2011, he was shortlisted for the German Book Prize with "Wunsiedel." In 2014, he was awarded the Gustav-Regler Prize by the city of Merzig and Saarländischer Rundfunk.

Michael Braun, born in 1958, works as a literary critic, editor, and moderator in Heidelberg. He is a contributor to Deutschlandfunk, SWR, the "Neue Zürcher Zeitung," and the "Tagesspiegel." Since 1994, he has been the moderator and advisor of the Erlangen Poetenfest. From 2006 to 2018, he was the editor of the Deutschlandfunk Poetry Calendar and the Poetry Pocket Calendar published by Das Wunderhorn. In 2016, he held a guest professorship at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig. His most recent publications include: "Der gelbe Akrobat 2. 50 deutsche Gedichte, kommentiert" (co-authored with Michael Buselmeier, Poetenladen, Leipzig 2016) and "Die zweite Schöpfung. Poesie und Bildende Kunst" (editor, Verlag Das Wunderhorn, Heidelberg 2016). In 2018, he received the Alfred Kerr Prize for Literary Criticism.
