The book "Migrant Workers' Old-age Insurance Policy in China" by Shurong Han provides a comprehensive analysis of the retirement insurance policy for Chinese migrant workers. In recent years, the government has revised its retirement insurance policy to include migrant workers in the existing insurance system and provide them with better protection. Despite these efforts, the participation rate of migrant workers in retirement insurance remains extremely low, while the number of migrant workers continues to rise. This discrepancy necessitates an investigation into the reasons for the low participation.
