Product details

This specialized book offers a comprehensive analysis of the microstructures of electrodes in high-energy and high-performance lithium-ion cells. The use of tomographic methods has enabled a three-dimensional capture of the electrode microstructures, allowing for a quantitative comparative analysis based on relevant structural parameters. An innovative finite element model (FEM) has been developed that takes into account the actual particle size distribution, thus enabling a more precise simulation of the electrochemical behavior of the electrodes. This methodology opens new perspectives for identifying the limiting mechanisms during the charging and discharging processes in both cell types. The book is aimed at professionals and scientists involved in the development and optimization of lithium-ion cells.
