The book "Minkowski Spacetime: A Hundred Years Later" is a comprehensive tribute to the centenary of Hermann Minkowski's groundbreaking essay "Space and Time" from 1909. Minkowski's work on the spacetime representation of special relativity has significantly shaped the physics of the twentieth century and is essential for modern physical thinking. Despite the widespread recognition of the mathematical significance of spacetime in theoretical physics, there has been no consensus on the ontological nature of spacetime for a century.
