Product details

The modchip is an electronic device designed to modify or disable the built-in restrictions and limitations of video game consoles. This device allows users to make various adjustments to the system's functionality, including bypassing region codes, digital rights management, and copy protection checks. As a result, software applications intended for other markets, as well as copied game media or unlicensed third-party software (homebrew), can be run. Modchips are primarily used in CD/DVD-based video game systems, as these systems support cost-effective, writable media. Additionally, modchips are also available for some DVD players to circumvent the enforcement of region codes and user operation restrictions.
