Eight people on an island in the Mediterranean. An idyllic holiday paradise with stunning bays, plenty of sunshine, picturesque architecture, and bars and cafés on every corner. Conflicts? Just forget about them, please! But something is not right. The whole scene seems pale, and the islanders appear strangely absent. And where are the other passengers who sat with the eight on the plane?

Claudius has once again paid for everything, for himself and Elisabeth, but also for their study friends Annike and Benedikt. Claudius always pays because he can. Sara and Marc are here with their son Vincent, who is seriously ill; perhaps they are taking a vacation together for the last time. If it weren't for Vincent, Sara and Marc would have long ceased to be a couple. Then there's Heidi, who has just sold one of her start-ups and is waiting for the next brilliant idea – it distracts her nicely from the issue she doesn't like to think about.

The paths of the eight intersect repeatedly in the small seaside town. They find each other, argue, love each other, or perhaps not. Just a vacation. But what starts as small inconsistencies around them turns into larger gaps, and their range of movement seems to be shrinking steadily. Gradually, they realize that here and now could be their last chance to feel truly alive – before everything around them falls apart.
