Product details
The "Neoclassical Theory of Electromagnetic Interactions" is a comprehensive monograph that presents a newly developed theory of electromagnetic interactions. This neoclassical approach extends classical electromagnetic theory down to atomic scales and allows for the explanation of various non-classical phenomena within a unified framework. While the classical Maxwell-Lorentz theory is capable of describing physical realities on macroscopic scales, it encounters limitations at atomic scales. In this work, the classical theory is modified to consistently explain quantum mechanical effects, with the neoclassical theory resembling some aspects of quantum mechanics but clearly differing from it. In particular, a new fundamental spatial scale is introduced, which is significant for plasmonics and emission physics. This book is aimed at researchers interested in advanced aspects of electromagnetic theory and provides a detailed treatment of classical approaches as well as a comparison with quantum mechanics and the de Broglie-Bohm theory.
