Product details
The Reconciliation Fund Act not only provided humanitarian payments to forced laborers from the Nazi regime both abroad and domestically, but it also resulted in positive domestic and foreign policy outcomes. One consequence of the relevant work was the accumulation of a wealth of scientifically significant materials at partner organizations in Budapest, Kyiv, Minsk, Moscow, Prague, and Warsaw, at the Reconciliation Fund in Vienna, and with fund historian Hermann Rafetseder. These materials, hidden in the files, often offer new insights into the various forms of forced labor. Furthermore, this documentation expands our knowledge of the Nazi camp system. Evidence for several cited locations shows that forced labor was almost ubiquitous at that time. Additionally, new quantitative studies are also possible. In a captivating manner, this documentation reveals many surprising findings and serves as a true treasure trove, far beyond the actual research on forced labor.
