The book "The Essential is Invisible to the Eyes" is a comprehensive dissertation written as part of the Master's program at the Federal University of São João del-Rei. It examines the role of music workshops in early childhood development, particularly for children up to two years old. The research focuses on the experiences of infants housed in the Casa Lar 'Amar é Simples'. By applying Vygotsky's theories, it analyzes the connection between musical development and cognitive abilities such as attention, memory, and language structuring. The results suggest that musical organization is closely linked to the development of higher functions and that there is a fundamental phase in musical expression referred to as the "Genesis of Musical Discourse." The work was conducted under the guidance of Professor Dr. Larissa Medeiros Marinho dos Santos and provides valuable insights into the importance of music in early childhood education.
