The activities of validation and verification play a central role in product development. During validation and verification activities, experiments are conducted to make predictions about the future behavior of systems. The method developed in this work contributes to increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of validation and verification in innovative vehicle developments. The goal of these activities is to predict and assess the future system behavior of the product being developed. This is achieved through the execution of tests and the interpretation of the generated measurement data. This work presents an ontology-based method to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of innovative automotive development projects, particularly in cases where an organizational knowledge base does not yet exist.
