The new training occupation of aircraft mechanic from 26 June 2013 came into force on 1 August 2013. The apprenticeship continues to last three and a half years and is divided into three specialisations - maintenance technology - production technology - engine technology Companies can choose between these three specialisations. Each company decides on the appropriate specialisation according to its specific needs, and regardless of the specialisation chosen, the final examination part 1 is identical for all three specialisations. In accordance with the requirements of the ordinance for this profession, the examination requirements have changed significantly compared to the intermediate examination of the old ordinance. The PAL guide for the final examination part 1 contains general information on the contents of the ordinance of 26 June 2013, outlines and overviews developed by the responsible PAL expert committee as well as a complete written and practical sample task set with all the information required for reproduction.the regular examination documents for the final examination part 1 will be offered by PAL for the first time for the examination in spring 2015.
