Recently, the Avengers were equipped with personalized high-tech armor to combat a dangerous threat. Now, a trio of the world's most notorious supervillains, assembled by Dr. Doom, has gained new monstrous powers through a mysterious artifact. To defeat their enemies, the mightiest heroes on Earth must undergo a similar transformation – and become monster hunters! As the heroes grapple with their new powers, they find new allies: Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and Ghost-Spider.
