Product details

Maria Janitschek (1859 - 1927), a German writer of Austrian descent, strongly identified with the interests of the bourgeois women's movement. This was reflected in the themes she chose for her works: the way she addressed the love and marriage issues faced by women of her time was considered extremely bold. She had a penchant for strong female characters who become relentless avengers when wronged. This work includes the novellas 'Ein Fürsichgehender', 'Il pensieroso', 'Michael Glans Weib', and 'Christi Auferstehung', and is an unaltered reprint of the original edition from 1894.
