When Köbi is released after seven years in prison at JVA Pöschwies, Zurich is a different city. His old friends have moved away, passed away, or inherited. Some have made it big, while others are struggling. The young fellow inmate, referred to by the press as the "occupier beast," has asked Köbi to deliver a letter in the occupied cooking area. After some initial hesitation, he does the boy a favor and gradually finds himself embroiled in a case that could cost him dearly, a case that reaches deep into the world of politics.
