German-Polish relations are an essential component of historical and political education in schools, extracurricular educational institutions, and teacher training. Although these relations have not always been friendly throughout history, due to the partitions of Poland at the end of the 18th century and the events of World War II, they have developed positively since 1989/90. The authors of this volume provide new insights into selected current socio-political issues that pose challenges for both countries. The theoretical texts are illustrated with cartoons, which are a staple of print media in both Poland and Germany.
