The painters Franz Marc and Wassily Kandinsky founded the Blue Rider after a dispute with the New Artists' Association, a group that did not impose a fixed direction but sought to bring together various art movements. With the support of August Macke, Gabriele Münter, Paul Klee, and others, the Blue Rider gained significant traction. The first successful exhibition took place early on. At the second exhibition, alongside works by Kandinsky and Marc, pieces by Hans Arp, Georges Braque, and Pablo Picasso, as well as works by the artists of Die Brücke, were showcased. In 1912, the almanac titled The Blue Rider was published.
